Need help on product use.

Hello everyone

I have a shiny but dull finish on my hood that has a milky (oxidized???) look on 1 half of it. The paint is a light color (close to silver or light grey. It's called Citrin Beige) so the defects and the dullness does not jump out at you. I've been reading about Mequiars products, in particular the commercial product line and have opted for the following.
Clay
Mothers Back to Black
Meguiars Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner
Meguiars Deep Crystal Polish
Meguiars Show Car Glaze (which requires Buffing???)
A Wax or FMJ sealant undetermined as of yet.


What do you recommend for the hood, I do not want to do any damage ?

Welcome to Meguiar's Online!

Sounds like the finish could use a good paint cleaning using a paint cleaner like ScratchX or the Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner. If the car is parked outside all or most of the time then definitely clay the finish after washing and before applying the paint cleaner.
