Is it just that I can't find the sheepskin wash mitts on the online store now, or does Meguiar's not sell them anymore?

FWIW, nothing but sheepskin for me. I would've been looking forward to see a Meguiar's sheepskin mitt somewhere locally so I could "pick those like fruit" too.

Honestly, I don't see how you can wash with anything else without marring the finish. IMO, the genuine sheepskin mitts are the only thing that should be used to wash with.
Mike, I know you fancy the brush for the pilot and I know first hand how sensitive NHB Honda paint is. No marring?

Is this what you prefer to wash both your Aurora and your Corvette? But what I've found is that the quality of your mitt has always been the same, every mitt I've bought from you has been nice and plush. Other mitts I've bought have sometimes been nice and sometimes been really thin. Yours also seem to hold up a bit better.
Yes, they are all I use to wash the Aurora and Corvette. They are my favorite for washing as they are soft and have a nice deep nap. Plus, dirt seems to come out of the fibers easily when suspended in water in the rinse bucket.

No thanks. Sheepskin is what I want. I've felt the Ultra Plush (gave it to my Dad) and it's not for me.
However, I did just order up 4 SM Arnold (same as Meg's sold) mitts for $10 a mitt from www.diycleaning.com. They carry the full line of SM Arnold stuff (I got a pair of 4" polishing pads too to try out). Meguiar's sold them for $13, so this seemed like a deal to me...
However, today I decided to do a "froogle" search, which I obviously should have done initially. Summit Racing Equipment has them for $5!! They also have M-36 for $6, which I also recently purchased... I always used to shop Summit when I had the '87 vette. Go figure they'd also have car-care stuff for so cheap...
So if you miss the Meguiar's sheepskin, you might want to check them out.
Edit: Amazon has them for $6 which might work out better depending on shipping. Summit has "free" shipping but a flat handling charge of like $9.

So clearly I'm a chump for not shopping around first...Last edited by Aurora40; Aug 27, 2005, 04:57 AM.

You might give one a try. The SM Arnold mitts were good enough to be sold by Meguiar's.
