Both clean, polish, and protect.
They are both classified as cleaner waxes, but ColorX is the stronger of the two.
ColorX is more suited for removing dead, oxidized paint. Plus polishing, and protecting the finish all in one step.
Cleaner wax is more suited for helping to maintain a car's finish that is not in bad shape to begin with. If your paint has already been detailed recently, then Cleaner Wax can restore the shine and wax protection all in one step.

Sounds OK to me.
I see nothing wrong with a person using both at the same time.
Thx for the replies. I may be detailing someone's car for them. It is a fairly new car, but I don't think that it has been waxed, etc in the past couple of years. I just didn't know if I should use both to help bring back the paint.
I may just use ColorX, then top it off with a wax (GC most likely) since ColorX actually does what the Cleaner wax does plus some extra stuff. Is this correct?

ColorX does have diminishing abrasives, where Cleaner Wax does not.
Here's a little piece that I dug up on ColorX from Mike P........
The ColorX will help to remove swirls because it contains a microscopic diminishing abrasive as well as chemical cleaners, the polish would be the polishing oils that restore clarity and richness of color while also helping to lubricate the surface during the cleaning action.
I wasn't sure if ColorX had these abrasives in it, but this confirms that it does.
I would use ColorX. Topping it with Gold Class would look good too, though I prefer the Tech Wax. You could easily get by without topping it at all.
Pretty much every car seems to develop some spider webbing over time. I was in a hurry the other day so I applied ColorX (with the Dual Action polisher and a polishing pad) to a black Audi. The spider webbing all but disappeared. This ColorX is a great product when you want one step to take care of everything.
