how often should you wax - nxt tech

sorry if this answer is somewhere. ive done a lot of searching and reading but cant seem to find a definitive answer.

i use gold class shampoo, have recently done a stage 1 and 2 polish and an application of nxt tech wax (3 weeks ago).
i've also done 2 whole touchups with quick detailer - between washes (i wash once a week).

im itching to use some more tech wax now but is this too soon?
my car is 12 years old and red, and prone to fading - it looks great at the moment (thanks meguiars) although the boot spoiler does fade much more quickly than the rest of the car, and is already changing colour.

There is no such thing as "too soon" when it comes to wax. If you feel like waxing it and have time, then go for it. Wax is non-abrasive, so there's no downside to waxing every couple of weeks.

You may find the Nxt spray wax is good to use every week, to keep up the looks, and add a little protection.

If your paint has not been well cared for in the past, you may find the using a slitghly stronger cleaner, like ColorX may improve your results a little as well, and get a little more endurance out of your wax.

If your paint fades easily, it sounds like it could use a little extra polishing as well, try and get some oils back into the paint if possible. The DC#2 will be good for that, and if you try the COlorX, it has good polishing oils as well.

I wash(NXT wash) and do a quick detail with meg's NXT wax booster once a week and Once a month I do a full detail, Wash(NXT wash), Clay(Meg's claybar), Clean(DC #1), Polish(DC #2), Wax( #26 Paste)
