  • NXT vs. Natural Shine

Alright, it seems every store in my area is carrying the NXT line of products, but they've dropped some other Meguiar's stuff like Gold Class Endurance and Natural Shine. So...the question is, how does the NXT compare to the Natrual Shine? I don't want to use anything too shiny on my dash because of the glare you get in direct sunlight.

natural shine make a like new finish add a second coat only makes it look better and adds a little more shine.i have used both and like both. nxt is shinier you could let the nxt penetrate foir about 10 to 15 minutes and then lightly buff with a clean lint free cloth i did this and the dash looked aswome .what i like about the nxt also is it doesnt look plasticy when applied properly. and it also repels water better of my doors then the natural shine.

here is what I have found... with the natural shine I tend to get more "greasy" results and for that reason I now perfer NXT Protectant and I think both look good but for me NXT has a slight edge over natural shine.

Does the NXT have the UV protectants too? I've got quite a supply of Natural Shine (I bought up a bunch when it went into the discontinued bin at Autozone), but I'm always interested in "new & improved". Especially with a vert, the interior plastic takes a beating from the sun!

            electricgreen,

I have only tried the natural shine and LOVE it. But of course since I am a Meguiars freak...I picked up some NXT protectant at Target. Yes they both have the UVA...but the NXT has UVB also. Whatever that means...Mike help us out... Anyway the bottle says that it has patented antiozonants to help prevent premature aging and deterioration. So I can't wait to try it...especially if it is not as greasy feeling as the Natural Shine. I love Endurance for the tires...so I know I wont be trying it there. The gel is just so easy to put on the tires without getting spray on the rims. My trim I have been using Gold Class which I love...It is kind of a thick cream which is great for the fender flares and plastic bumpers. So, point being...I will be trying it out soon and will report back.

I second that, NXT Protectant is much easier to get a even coat, the Natural Shine always seemed "patchy" and I had to use more product to even it out... that is what gave me the greasy results. NXT is the way to go!

I guess I'll have to give it a try then. That's the one thing I don't like about Natural Shine, it does go on patchy in some areas. Tonite I was looking for Gold Class Detailer and couldn't find that, the NXT will just have to do for my black plastic trim as well

Does nxt leave a slippery surface or a natural feel? I have used Intensive Protectant and hated the slippery feel. I couldn't place anything on the dash without it sliding off.

I just applied some NXT to my dash and the biggest difference between it and Natural Shine which I did not realize is that NXT is a liquid while NS is more of a cream. The NXT was *much* easier to apply an even coat. Right now it is a bit too shiny for my taste, but I assume it will settle down in a day or so. Maybe this is a less expensive version of 303 Aerospace protectant

                              NXT Tech Protectant

Is unique in that it contains both Antiozonants and UVA and UVB sun blockers. That enables it to work well on both rubber and vinyl trim and components.

I like to apply it with a foam applicator pad and what I notice about it is that after applying it, 20-30 seconds later, the surface is completely non-greasy, or non-oily. (wipe your hand across it to test).
