  • Hot Shine Tire Dressing

Well I figured I would try the aerosol version of this as it was on sale and the store did not have any of the regular spray version. After thoroughly cleaning my wifes car and paying special attention to cleaning the tires I gave the Hot Shine a try. I like the feature of the adjustable spray pattern, but did not get the results I was looking for. The shine died down almost immediatly and even after 2 coats the gloss is not there. Am I missing something or does it take a few applications before getting maximum gloss????

I've never heard of this or seen this when using this product, if you cleaned your tires well, and applied two coats you tires should have looked very black and very shiny, has it been a while since any dressing has been applied to these tires? Perhaps they soaked up a great majority of the product?

Perhaps try washing the tires again and applying another application. If it still doesn't work well, call Customer Care at [b]1-800-347-5700]/b] and they'll take care of you.

If you really want shiny tires, take a look at our new Insane Shine Tire Coating,

Mike, I tried posting pics once, but the whole post disappeared. Here is a pic 2 days after application. THe car has not been driven until this morning and we haven't had any rain. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

I've had no problem with using this product in terms of shine. It certainly made my tires very glossy and lasted a few weeks even with a few washings.
The only problem is that it's an aerosol, and it's very difficult to use when it's windy, so I've gone back to using Endurance.

Yes aerosols are a pain in the wind.It is to bad they didnt have a nxt trim and tire gel or something like that.I think you get way more uses out of a gel then a aerosol can.

The pump bottle version works very well.

I'm gonna try that next. It is still on sale at Autozone so I'll be trying this weekend on the T/A as I have a show to attend.

Definitely go for the trigger version of the Hot Shine, i've used both the aerosol and the trigger and the latter has much better shine and longevity. In addition, the trigger version lasts MUCH longer.

Is this dressing safe when the overspray gets on chrome wheels?

There should not be any issues at all. Just remove the overspray with a MF and some Quik Detailer.
