Hi, there is alot of talk about nxt tech wax, but not much about the booster wax.I tech waxed my black bmw last week.I purchased the tech wax and nxt wash and plan to use them this weekend. What is the process that works the best when using the booster wax. When i purchased it i thought it was going to be a detailing spray then you would use between coats or to give it a fast shine afte a wash. How are you guys using it? thanks

Best way to apply nxt booster wax

I have applied it several ways, I think you should probably experiment and see what works best for you.
I applied it via a foam pad several times, but didn't really like it. I found it really hard to get thin, even application.
I find that using a folded microfiber towel works best for me. It takes a bit more product than when using foam, but I get an even, thin coat that wipes away very easily.
The NXT spray wax is very nice addition to the NXT line. I used some last night!

May I suggest a place to start would be the directions printed on the label.
Take NXT for example, the directions say nothing about application by PC, but we have all had great results applying it that way.

I spray it on a foam pad then spread on the vehicle. If you try to spray on the car directly it's hard to control and splatters all over. I do like the product. It's quick and easy for me. I even let my seven year old son help on the big panels. Father, son & NXT bonding moment. (no pun intended)LL

Although I just bought the booster wax and have not used it yet, I think I would spray it onto a clean dry terry cloth and then apply it to the car. I would rather not spray the car directly. That should help to reduce the chance of causing any messy over-spray.

I've only used it once thus far but I applied it using a clean, soft foam wax applicator and appled it just like a wax.
First spray some onto your wax applicator to moisten it, then mist some onto the paint and spread out with the applicator. Apply to the entire car, let it haze, and then remove with a Microfiber cloth~ Providing unbiased advice that Professional and Enthusiast Detailer’s Trust ~ Blog – http://togwt1980.blogspot.com

Well i finally had a chance to play around with the booster wax, after putting on two coats of tech wax with the 8006 pad and my pc.i decided to try out DONs idea he posted. I changed the pad to the finishing pad and squirked the tech wax on the pad and applied it using the pc to the whole vehicle, let it dry to a haze and removed it with a microfiber. The results were awesome.Great gloss and depth. It actaually makes the paint slicker appyling the booster wax on top of the nxt.Just a note don't use to much booster wax on the finishing pad,a little goes a long way and i just kept going back and fourth till it was evenly applied. Try it out and see what you think

I agree wi th mtp78.
Yesterday I used NXT for the first time (after claying & Scratch-Xing the surface). After the NXT had cured for about 1hr I wiped it off. Then I wiped the booster wax on with an applicator pad (not foam) and buffed it out.
The result was an even deeper shine and slipprier feel.
I strongly recommend it as the "final step" after the NXT.
