Gold Class Wax
I applied GC wax to one section to my car and wait for 2 minutes to remove. However, I found it was a little bit hard to remove and I used QD to help the removal process. Could you please advice what I was doing wrong and what is the best way to remove GC wax.

Maybe applied too thick and it wasn't left to dry long enough? You want to apply it pretty thin and let it dry before trying to remove. I've seen that some people let their wax dry for a half hour before removing. -

Yeah, 2 minutes doesn't sound long enough. You would want to wait at least about half an hour.

I agree just swipe your finger through the wax and if it comes off easily, then its ready for removal. I would do the whole car first and wait like 30 minutes.Comment

That's really up to you! Quite a few people will put a sealant like M21 down first then top it with a carnauba like Gold Class. If you are going to put 2 layers on like that, make sure you wait at least 12 hours before putting on the second coat to let the first coat properly cure.Comment

How can you do a swipe test on a white car? Cant really see the wax once I apply to my car.Comment

That is good to lay down a layer of M21; sure will add gloss to the paint. But what kind of polish or glaze or paint cleaner to clean the paint prior to GC wax. I was thinking about: Glaze 7, UP or step up to M205?Comment

UP and M205 are very similar products.
UP = the consumer version
M205 = the professional version
It depends on the severity of the defects, the hardness of your paint, what you're trying to achieve etc etc...
Do a test spot first and see if that give the results you're looking for. You may well have to step it up to something like UC if you're trying to remove any decent swirls etc, since UP / M205 are finishing polishes, so quite mild.Originally posted by BluelineComment
