I applied GC wax to one section to my car and wait for 2 minutes to remove. However, I found it was a little bit hard to remove and I used QD to help the removal process. Could you please advice what I was doing wrong and what is the best way to remove GC wax.

Re: Gold Class Wax
Yeah, 2 minutes doesn't sound long enough. You would want to wait at least about half an hour.
Do the "swipe test" first to make sure it's dry.Originally posted by BluelineI own a silver vehicle and a black vehicle owns me. The black one demands attention, washing, detailing, waxing and an occasional dinner out at a nice restaurant. The silver one demands nothing and it looks just fine. I think the black vehicle is taking advantage of me, and the silver car is more my style. We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

How to tell if your wax is dry - The Swipe Test (https://meguiarsonline.com/forums/showthread.php?39350-How-to-tell-if-your-wax-is-dry-The-Swipe-Test) Q: Do I let Meguiar's waxes dry completely before removal, or do you take them off right after application? A: Let them dry fully before removal. Q: OK, so how do I know if my''USE THE LEAST AGGRESSIVE PRODUCT TO GET THE JOB DONE RIGHT''

Re: Gold Class Wax
That's really up to you! Quite a few people will put a sealant like M21 down first then top it with a carnauba like Gold Class. If you are going to put 2 layers on like that, make sure you wait at least 12 hours before putting on the second coat to let the first coat properly cure.

Get you a Brinkmann dual xenon light and try that because you need one anyways to help with finding swirls. And you can also get down close to the surface and look at the spot in different angles and then go from there.
I also have gauges with temp and humidity in my garage so that also helps me when working with different products to know when it's ok to go ahead and remove. But my general rule is anything under or around 65% is ok to go ahead and remove in 20 to 30 minutes like davey g-force mentioned.''USE THE LEAST AGGRESSIVE PRODUCT TO GET THE JOB DONE RIGHT''

Maybe you can still find it on amazon though or google it and see where you can still get it

I'd like to have one of the 3M lights like Mike Penington has but $450.00 isn't possible right now!
Found this one but having to replace 6 AA batteries all the time

Re: Gold Class Wax
UP and M205 are very similar products.
UP = the consumer version
M205 = the professional version
It depends on the severity of the defects, the hardness of your paint, what you're trying to achieve etc etc...
Do a test spot first and see if that give the results you're looking for. You may well have to step it up to something like UC if you're trying to remove any decent swirls etc, since UP / M205 are finishing polishes, so quite mild.Originally posted by BluelineI own a silver vehicle and a black vehicle owns me.
