I'm wondering if using the "Hot Rims Wheel Cleaner" will remove/reduce the effectiveness of the "Hot Rims Brake Dust Barrier" - I'm currently using both, I've only used the dust barrier once, about 3 or 4 washes ago, it still seems to be working (and when I say working, I mean its still easier to clean the brake dust/dirt and grime off the wheels). When I applied the brake dust barrier, I took the rims off the vehicle, making the entire surface easy to hit with the product, however I'm wondering, since its difficult to defectively apply the barrier, should I still be using the wheel cleaner??? The other thing is that I don't really feel like I need the wheel cleaner for the rims anymore because of the dust barrier, but the tires obviously still need the power of the wheel cleaner.. Thanks in advance..

I believe it is safe to use both together. I use D143 Detailer Non Acid Wheel & Tire Cleaner on my wheels that have the brake dust barrier on them. So far so good. The brake dust barrier works good. I only use the wheel cleaner on the inside of the wheels since they are not coated. A majority of the time a high pressure shot of water will get the wheels clean that are coated. Sounds like the product is working as intended so it would be fine just using the wheel cleaner on your tires. -

All Wheel Cleaner will not remove BDB. Wheel Brightener won't take it off either. BDB is very, very tenacious stuff.Michael Stoops
