  • No more paint cleaner-what do I use now?

I went to the store and was told Meguiars no lingers makes the paint cleaner for the 3 step paint system.

My car has tree sap on it and I washed and washed. There are some stubborn spots on the car that will only come off if I use my finger nail.

What does Meguiars recommend? My paint is in great condition and I don't have swirl or scratch issues, I just need to remove this stubborn sap.

Sounds like you need to do some claying.

There are plenty of cleaner waxes out there and none will remove sap.
When I come across this problem I break out my Nano Skin for my DA. "Power Decontaminating"
So clay the heck out of it! and then start picking. Wax it and next time the sap won't stick as bad.
Anything left over I'll get with my fingernail as I wax/polish.

Now if you have some extreme adhesion then you'll a solvent. Tarminator is my goto on this.

      Does it look like this?

I like to use D120 full strength on the thick big drops of sap that won't come off any other way. A little bit on a microfiber towel and the sap just disintegrates. They also chip off really easy if you get at them when it's cold.

I would look more at clay or glass cleaner than that dc1 anyway. But the Ult polish world be the replacement.

There are other companies that make paint cleaners that are not AIO's and have no abrasives. They chemically clean the paint in preparation for polish and wax.

Some products methods I have used for Sap:

            Tarminator
            3M Adheisve Remover
            IPA mix
            Straight IPA
            Purell Hand Sanitizer
            WD40

After using any of these products make sure to wax or seal that area afterwards.
