  • Menguiar's Headlight Protectant

Hi there, Anyone is using Menguiar's Headlight Protectant? I noticed one side of my headlight started to turn white (minor) and another side is shining & clear. After refer everywhere on the website, many recommends to apply protectant before headlight turns yellow. So, I bought Meguiar's Headlight protectant and applied to both side. I am so happy to see how it shines for both after the application. But, how I know that, on the second or third days, both my headlight turns white - worse than it originally is. The other side that originally ok looks like having its original protectant oxidized! What can I do now?

Have you tried Meguiars Restoration kit. This one comes with a yellow buffer. It's used on a drill to improve your headlight look. I used it and it works great.

Well first off WELCOME TO MOL!!!

You have UV coating failureUnfortunatelytly nothing you "put on" will fix it.
You have to remove the failing UVC and then apply the HLP.
The above kit will do this for around $30 bucks.

Don't worry you can fix your headlights yourself and make them better then new.

Actually my headlight still clear before I apply the protectant. I saw some where on other forum recommended for protectant application to further protect the original UV coating.

Hope someone from Meguiar's will chime in.
