  • Question on Ultimate Line Polymers

So I fully utilize the Ultimate Line for my vehicles, as I think they are easily on par with most boutique products (UC and UP for the price are impossible to beat). When looking at the synthetic protecting polymers in Ultimate Paste Wax, Ultimate Liquid wax, Ultimate Quik Wax, Ultimate Quik Detailer, Ultimate Wash and Wax Anywhere and Ultimate Wash and Wax, are these Hydrophobic Polymers basically all the same? I understand they are compatible, one of the things I notice is when using UQW over either ULW, or UPW, it doesn't change the look. When using UWWA, is it the same polymer as UQW?

In my opinion, UWWA gives just a tremedous look on dark solids and metallics. I think the look is even better than UQW. I also think UQD gives a slightly more glossy look than UQW. Any other opinions on them?

Bump, inquiring minds want to know. RPPM how long does UWWA last? Is it better then just UQW? I wish they made gallon size and slightly cheaper

No, I don't think it lasts as long as UWQ/D156. You can now find it at Wally World for $10.99 or so...

So it's good for a spot clean after a wash with a little protection? I have CG V7 for that right now, but I feel it affects the durability of some LSP's

It will do more than spot clean, I have used it on my own personal vehicles, the cleaning power without scratching is far beyond any QD I have ever used. This is a waterless wash with some polymer protection.

My question is when is UWWA going to go into the detailers line for a bulk buy?

Keeping it in the Ultimate consumer line would be an excellent way to introduce novices, and enthusiasts to professional habits.

It would be great to see gallon refills of the entire Ultimate line.

I've been overjoyed with the entire Ultimate line up and would love to be able to purchase them by the gallon.

Picked up 2 bottles and tried it on a few dirt spots and bird bombs. Worked very well and left a nice shine.

Re: Question on Ultimate Line Polymers

To address RPPM's specific question as to whether the hydrophobic polymers found in these various products are all the same, the short answer is basically yes. There's a lot more to it, of course, like how much of which specific ingredient is found in which product, what other ingredients are present, etc.

As for some of the other questions:

No, the protection offered by UWWA is not going to rival that of UQW/D156. The polymer load and delivery process of UQW/D156 make them surprisingly durable waxes, spray or otherwise.

It's great for spot cleaning, but it's also fantastic as a true waterless wash for the entire vehicle. The whole concept of a waterless wash can be tough to get your head around at first, but when done properly (towel management is critical here) it's a very safe and highly effective way to wash a car.

We've been known to listen to these kinds of requests in the past, and this isn't the first time we've heard this one. If we hear it enough you never know what could happen.

While we love your level of enthusiasm and devotion to the line, the problem with this scenario is two fold: 1) most brick and mortar retailers simply wouldn't have the shelf space to dedicate to gallon sized containers, and 2) the extreme majority of general consumers don't spend enough time on car care to even consider gallon purchases of product.

It's fantastic for bird bomb cleaning, but give it a shot on the whole car when you think (when you KNOW) it's far too dirty for a traditional quick detailer. It will most likely surprise the heck out of you.

Re: Question on Ultimate Line Polymers

Is it OK to use Ultimate Quik Wax over M26 or other Carnauba or natural based products (Souveran/Paste Glaz) when a quick wax is needed?

Re: Question on Ultimate Line Polymers

                          Sure.

Some people may like to stay carnuba, and use the Gold Class Spray Wax, but the UQW would work just fine.
