well I haven't actually use that kit. I basically made up my own with most of that stuff too I use M105, Wool, burgundy/yellow pad and Meguire's sandpaper. All do the job perfectly.
It works great, provided it's used correctly (which is true of so many things in this world!). The kit comes with sanding discs as coarse as 320 grit and as fine as 3000 grit, and where you start really depends on how bad the headlight lens is. The grits below 1000 should be used dry and the coarser the grit the faster you'll go through the discs. But with this kit you can take lenses that are about as transparent as an old Supreme Shine Microfiber Towel and make them look brand spanking new again.
