  • Cleaning Ultimate Microfibre wash mitt

Hey guys, I recently purchased one of these Ultimate microfibre wash mitts. Great stuff, but I've had a tough time cleaning off the black stains as it seems to be stuck right in those fibres.

I rinse off the wash mitt after every panel and most of the dirt gets washed off but after I'm done, dirt still remains on the wash mitt, leaving dark grey/black patches.

What's the best way to go about cleaning it?

I had the same problem with a microfiber mitt. My solution was to get a sheepskin mitt.

Just for fun, could we clarify which mitt you're referring to?

You listed the mitt as a microfiber wash mitt, but we don't actually offer a wash mitt made out of microfiber? Did you mean one of our other washing products or is this made by someone else?

I think he means this one Mike:

I too have some tar/black stains in mine that could do with removing.

This wash mitt is not microfiber, but is actually an incredibly soft cotton chenille. Historically, the best way to clean cotton is with a quality laundry detergent. If this doesn't remove any staining in the mitt, then it could be permanent. You might try treating it like you would any stain in cotton clothes.

You might also try our Heavy Duty Carpet & Interior Cleaner as I have found this product to be very effective at removing stains.

              Thanks for the tip.

Gee, if it isnt microfibre then isn't it a bit of a misleading product name, "Ultimate Microfibre Wash Mitt"?

I going on what we sell here in the U.S., if it says it's a microfiber wash mitt then it's a microfiber wash mitt. You should wash it just like you would a cotton chenille wash mitt using a quality laundry detergent but only wash it with other microfiber prouducts.

                Sorry for the confusion...
