I clay and polish several times a year. However, I wax/sealant the cars about 2x a month, I'm not going to clay and polish 2x a month. When I do all those steps, I'm going to use a different product than black wax anyway.

I rarely take pictures as I feel they don't truly show how nice the product works, turns out in reality. However, I would say my result was very similar to the beautiful GTO posted above.

Just to add to the longevity, it seems to be rather short longevity. Based on the "feel," when I use quick detailers, it doesn't seem to keep that extra special wax feel that you get when quick detailing very long compared to some other products.

However, it is oh so easy to apply and the results are great, it just seems more like a nice rich polishing oil though, with a little wax.

Also, the product seems to separate some. Before I knew this, carrying the tube out for another application, I got this wet liquid all over my clothes. Be careful when the product has been sitting a while.

Item is still $9 something on Amazon. Without free shipping it is a ripoff. Shipping and handling is over $10.

I have a 6.5L 400 engine, TH 400 Tranny, and Hotchkis suspension. In 10 years I have made too many mods to discuss in one post. My wife complains about the money spent lol

However, to my surprise today a little box came with Black Wax inside!

I was cleaning my black car as it arrived, so I immediately applied black wax! Fun!

Honestly, it's a bit hard for me to review a wax. I will share all I can. Application is easy. I feel you're tempted to overuse the product slightly with the toothpaste style. Nevertheless, the overuse did not have any negative effect. Being a perfectionist, I am somewhat disappointed that the tube gets all wrinkled up like a toothpaste from squeezing on it, even if you're careful to work your way from the back light toothpaste. Indeed, it actually gets more wrinkly than the toothpaste I use.

The paste has a somewhat dark look to it. It didn't seem as fragrant as NXT, Gold Class, etc. but the scent was pleasant nevertheless. Not sure what the scent is, perhaps a very light buttery blackberry.

I cleaned my windows as it continued to haze, and then wiped off easily. It removed as easy as the easiest Meguiar's waxes I have used. No worry about any streaking, etc. like with some of the fully synthetic products. It removed similar to Gold Class.

The finish? The polishing oils are oh so present. It leaves that great, deep, black appearance. Furthermore, it is smooth to the touch and great clarity. The look is good, but then again, lots of polish on a black car is always going to look striking.

My verdict? A quality product. For the average joe at the store shopping, they will be satisfied buying the black wax for his or her dark car as the polish will no doubt wow their eyes. Furthermore, the paste was fairly fun to apply, though slightly more awkward to hold than a tub or a liquid bottle.

My only question comes to longevity. Gold Class also has some great polishing effect, but it's not terribly long lasting. I do not yet know how long lasting Black Wax is going to be. Furthermore, the packaging and tube doesn't seem to stress any particular wax/protection strengths. It's clear it protects, but how does that protection compare to other Meguiar's products?

Overall, awesome application and removal, awesome look on finish. However, I am uncertain the type and quality of protection I have applied to the vehicle.

BTW - I have White Wax on order as well.
    Lets see some pics!

Yeah, the $9 and change is Amazon themselves selling it rather than a merchant. That way if you're Prime member you can get free shipping, but again it's not in stock to ship immediately.

In terms of durability, I won't be the best one to test that. The reason being is my cars get at least one wash a week with ultimate wash & wax *anywhere* . Therefore, that is constantly putting down a slightly different and new layer of the light protection in that protect. Plus, I won't go too too long before putting some more wax of some kind on the car. After all, no matter what people say, I never find *any* wax delivers the most important aspects to me for very long at all.

This is what I will take note of during the next month. Products like UWAWA work much better when there is a nice fresh coat of wax. I will unofficially monitor and note how long that continues compared to other products I have used like Nxt, Souveran Paste, GC, etc.

Thus far, I would call the product similar in category to Gold Class, but with a much different application experience, being the toothpaste style rather than paste or liquid (though no easier/harder than GC to apply).

However, I suspect it has even more polishing oils than Gold Class. My car's paint is still in very good condition from claying and using Microfiber system in November, so I was a great candidate to use a wax with very limited cleaning abilities.

It's the durability/protection that I simply have no instinct about. I hope eventually Meguiar's might give us a bit better way to think about the protection in Black Wax. I'm somewhat concerned it could be less potent protection than Gold Class, simply the way the protection earns the smallest of mention on the product's packaging.
