  • Advice on LSP

OK I did the Vette with ULT polish , it came out sweet !! Im impressed with it.

    Now for the LSP.....

I have ULW , UPW , M21(2.0) , NXT (2.0) liquid . This is a weekend car , garage queen so I am looking for the wettest look , shiny look . The car is Silver . Durability not that big of an issue.

What would you gut recommend .

    Thank you
    Mike

To be honest i dont think you will see a difference between those that you have mentioned. And because you say durability is not a big issue, I would just pick the one you enjoy working with the most.

I have a silver car as well. I find on car of little to no color ( silver, white), I like the NXT or UPW as the polymers dry clear. I feel that it makes cars with little color look crisp.

        Re: Advice on LSP

If i may just add since durability is not an issue, why not use the "entry level" waxes from meguiars? It would be cheaper, something like Deep Crystal Carnuaba or M26 Hi-tech yellow wax which has great depth and wet look, although it's really hard to add bring out depth on silver or any color similar to silver. I guess that's the beauty and weakness of silver. Easy to make look good, a bit hard to add depth, wetness. So even if durability is not an issue, NXT 2.0 or M21 would still be my pick. Just to give you an idea, 1 gallon of m26 hi-tech yellow wax costs almost the same as 1 bottle/can of Ultimate wax. Well, here in my place at least.

But as stated by LS1BERLINA, it would be virtually impossible to tell the difference between Ultimate Wax, NXT 2.0, Gold Class, especially on silver. Especially if you did a good job correcting the paint, a well prepped paint will have depth, clarity, brightness and wetness even before wax/sealant is applied.
