    Cleaning wheels that are both painted and polished aluminum

    My 06 GT has the 17" wheels that are polished aluminum, but painted in the middle as well. I don't know whether I should use the all wheel & tire cleaner, or if the aluminum cleaner would be best. Anyone have a similar situation/advice? I gotta keep m baby looking good
    2006 Mustang GT - 5-speed (converted from automatic), JLT v3 intake, Steeda UDP's, FRPP CMCV delete plates, BBK 62mm throttle body, Strut tower brace, a-arm brace, J&M uca/lca's, rear axle brace, Pro 5.0 short shifter, probably forgetting a few things...

    If your car is maintained well. I would just use soap and water. All Wheel and Tire is safe for all wheels and not recommend for bare aluminum, anodized and powdercoated.

    After a good cleaning, clay them , a little polish and then seal with a good sealant like M21, Collonite 845 or DG 501.

    I did this to my 06 GT with 18 inch polished wheels and they looked like chrome when I was done. Then all it took was soap and water to keep clean.

      Sounds good to me! I do try to keep it clean, as I wash it weekly. I have noticed some of the bare metal areas have (what I'm thinking has to be) brake dust ground in. Once I get that out, I'll go for the polish and sealant. Thanks for the input!

        The Brake Dust Barrier seems to make things easy to clean off as well.

        But the Aluminum Wheel Wash would be better when needing a stronger cleaner then.
