    Gold Class Carnauba Plus Premium Paste Wax - 2 months later !

    I waxed my car with GC Carnuaba Plus wax about 8 weeks ago. So basically I clayed the surface, then polished with swirl remover 2.0 to remove dealer instilled swirls. Then finished with two thin coats of wax, I thought I should share some pictures of how well the water beads two months later.

    I should add that in those two months ....

    - the car was always parked outside
    - we have had maybe 10 days without rain.
    - weekly washes.
    - and even one touchless ( harsh soaps and chemicals ) car wash after being bird bombed.
















    At the end of the day, Meguiars never dissapoints!!

    Looks good and the GCCP appears to be holding up well after 8 weeks!

      Looking good, especially considering the amount of rain you've gotten which tends to be really hard on any wax, carnaubas most of all. It looks like Gold Class just sort of shrugged it off ....or beaded it up, as the case may be!

        Wow, I usually only get about two weeks of beading out of GCCP!

          Really ?? I get at least a month out of any meguiars wax or sealant , even in the winter.

              Anecdotally of course -- but it seems like GCCP only beads up water for a few weeks for me.

              Undoubtedly, a huge factor in this is prep. I use GCCP as sort of a "cleaner wax" in that I usually don't put it onto super well prepped surfaces. If I'm going through a better prep procedure, I usually use a different LSP. I like the look it gives, so if I just want a wax to throw on my daily driver I usually reach for it. As such, it doesn't last very long, because I'm not setting it up to last very long.
