I have a 1977 searay that's in really nice condition, has been in the barn unless on the water. Over the boats life the color has faded but doesn't have any oxidation. Would it be ok if I took my porter cable and LC orange cutting pad with some Ultimate Compound to it?

Yes, you certainly can use this combo on your boat, and likely with quite good results if the gel is in good shape with just a bit of fading.
