  • Soft Foam Applicator Pad VS Even Coat Applicator Pad

    Dear all.
I really wonder if these the two applicators have different/recommended uses or it's just a matter of personal preferences.

I have read in the forum, for example, that the yellow applicator does a better job with UC than the microfiber applicator.

Which are you personal preferences? Can you motivate them?
    Thank you!

    Mostly personal preference.

I dont like how the MF covering moves around with the foam inside it. I feel like I get a better grip with just the bare foam.

Of course if the MF is poor quality, or perhaps poorly cared for, it can scratch the paint more. Bare foam doesnt really hold anything, or go bad, etc.

      Thank you!
I bought a MF coveres pad just in case but I always end up using the Meguair's bare foam pad.
      Ciao!

I have read that the m/f pad will help ensure you are distributing a thin coat....like with UW.
But, I have NOT heard any of the experienced detailers doing that, so I have have stayed with the bare pad.

OK, thanks! Anyway I'll give it a try one of these days.

What I was thinking is that the microfiber pad, thanks to its texture, could prevent the liking of liquids products.

          Bye

I think when they first came out, they were shown with the spray wax or detailer type products a lot.

But dont see much benefit there either.
