I bought this product to remove water spots from my shower ceramic tiles. It worked great by hand and even better and easier with an electric buffer sander with a scrub attachment.

Hmmmm.... so he noticed it worked "even better and easier with an electric buffer sander with a scrub attachment." Well, that makes sense as the scrub attachment is providing the real cutting ability to remove bad water spotting while the UP itself, at that point, is just helping to refine things a bit and add some gloss to the surface. It would act sort of like a lubricant or buffer for the scrub attachment. With a foam polishing pad we would expect to see a drop off in effectiveness, depending on just how bad the water spotting is, etc.

It is surprisingly common for people to use our Cleaner Wax with a polishing pad on a DA for this same purpose, and overall we think this is probably a bit better option. You still get the good cleaning ability provided by the combination of pad and liquid, but Cleaner Wax will leave some protection behind while UP won't.

It is common to use a foam polishing pad and cleaner wax for shower tiles? I would have never thought of that on my own. What other "Home Uses" are Meguiars products good at?

I also use my orbital buffer and cleaner wax to maintain my fiberglas tub and enclosure. Keeps waterspotting to a minimum, and facilitates drying with microfiber cloth after showering.
