I was curious about these 2 product so I decided to get both of them and try at the same time. I have never used this kind of product so I really have no idea what I expect.
Car tested: 2011 Lexus IS350c factory brake system.
I removed both my front wheels and dried them before I spray both products on. I noticed both product will make my rim look greasy but that's only for few minutes. I let both product sit 24 hours to dry.
Day 1 (Sunny day): Looks good, I see some dust start building up after coming back from work.
Day 2 (Sunny day): Looks good, I see some more dust building up after coming back from work. Compare to my rare wheel both front wheels noticeably less dust than my rare wheels without treatment.
Day 3 (rainy day): Both product do their jobs well compare to the ones without treatment. My front wheels still look gray while my rare wheels are now dark gray.
Day 4 (Sunny day): since all my wheels are dirty, I don't even bother to look at them ....
Day 5 (Sunny day): I think this is something people may want to know. My rare wheels starts to build up a layer of dust (inside wheel) especially after the rain but front wheels are doing kind of ok. I can see dust building up inside front wheels but not so much. Perhaps rain took some dust away.
Day 6 (carwash day) NXT carwash is used.
AA: Dust can be washed away by spraying water. My front wheel is easier to clean compare the rare without treatment. One thing I noticed when I use micro fiber towel to dry, some yellow stuff came out. I can tell this is the treatment of AA. I decided to spray some water on this wheel again and found out treatment is half gone.
Meg: Dust can be washed away by spraying water as well. It's easier to clean compare to the one without treatment. There is nothing come out when I dry my wheels with micro fiber towel.
Dust can be water spray away for both product. Due to the lesson I learned earlier I did not dry inside wheels since it's hard to apply.
conclusion:
Both products are nice but I really prefer Meg's brake barrier since it won't come out during car wash. If you are the person who will only spray to clean I think both products will do the work. But I prefer to get Meg's since I wash my car a lot and hand dry my wheels after car wash. Both products lasts over 4 weeks (as long as you don't touch AA product).
