Question : Why does the Smooth Surface replacement bar cost the same as the Smooth Surface clay kit?

I believe the replacement bar is a much larger size than the one included in the clay kit....not sure though.

The label says it only contains one 50g/80g bar. The kit includes two 80g bars.

Been wondering about it for some time lol.

Something wrong here...the Amazon replacement shows only ONE 50gr bar, whereas in Megs catalog G1001 it is 3 50gr blocks.

Either way, buying the 'kit' is a great deal. Ya get clay, QD and an MF towel.

Have you looked elsewhere at the pricing? I find amazon to not be very competetive on Meguiar's products.

I think the kit used to have two 50 gram bars, which is why it made a little more sense pricing-wise. Now that the clay in the kit has been upgraded to two 80 gram bars, the replacement pack makes no sense at all.

Can i only use UC without claying my car? I had used UC, Ultimate Polish and NXT Wax for my car but the result is not that impressive. Is it bcos i did not clay my car before the above process? By the way im using hand for UC, polishing and waxing and wash my car with water only without using meguairs shampoo. Please advise.
