What is the difference between the clay in the Smooth Surface Clay Kit, and the Mild Pro Detailing Clay? Are they the same?
Do they need different lubricants? Thanks!

You can use the same lubricant with all three versions of clay. The difference between the clay is the aggressiveness from light duty to heave duty. With the smooth surface kit starting at the light end of the spectrum.

      Re: clay question

I've used both the smotoh surface clay and the mild pro on a couple different cars. I definately prefer the smooth surface but to me its just not worth the premium. Both clean pretty similar for me, although the mild is supposed to be more aggressive. The one difference I noticed is that the mild tends to leave behind more smudges and requires more QD to maintain lubricity, though by no means does it leave a problematic amount behind.

The mild clay is a bit more aggressive, you will not see this really come into play on some cars. Though, when you get one that really really needs a good clay job you will find you are able to work much much quicker using the blue mild clay. The blue clay is my preference personally.
