Streak marks

Ultimate Quik Wax claims that it does not streak, but when I use it, there are streak marks. So what am I doing wrong? I spray at one section, spread it around, turn the towel over to dry side and wipe off. I'm not using that much since I'm not pulling the trigger all the way when spraying.


I'm using a clean microfiber towel. Any advice or tips?

Have you tried using 2 towels? One for spreading the product around and one for removing the residue? I know I've had some streaking problems when I only used 1 towel. The towel became damp so even if you flip it over to the clean side, it will still leave some residue behind.

Thanks, I'll give it a try, but also, it still left streak marks from the very beginning when I started.

Hmm, I just use one, and I like it when it gets damp.

Maybe spraying one section and spreading it around is the issue? Not sure if I pull the trigger back all the way, or most of it. But I try to stay back, and just let the mist fall over the panel. Then a wipe over the panel and done.

I think with UQW, getting a lot in one place is the issue. It seems to me like if there is something to remove, you have to much in one area.

Does it have anything to do with how close you are to the surface when spraying?

Well, if close, you may get a 'puddle' in one spot. Further back, will be more of a mist over the surface.

Then there is also just spraying the towel. But since UQW can go on anything, I just over spray everything and wipe around.
