    I just got new diamond plate for my bedrails, What would be the best protectant for those regular wax?

    Is there any coating on it?

    Certainly can wax either way.

        If they're aluminum, I'd clear coat them. They will water spot terribly W/O some kind of protection. Most "white polishes" won't touch the H2O spots. Try "Diamond Brite" from Lowes to get the spots.
