  • Applying Ultimate Quik Detailer

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but when I apply the detailer and then wipe it off, it leaves streak marks as if it dried up without it being wiped off even though I did wipe it off.

How long do I need to wipe before wiping it off? Am I using too much? Or wiping too long before wiping off?

I think the key is to mist it, wipe it off quick and buff right after.
I own a black car and have no issues.
Don't spray too much at one time, try working a small area before moving on.
IMO your over using the product, a little goes a long way.
Also, I know when it's time to wax my car, it get's harder to work with the UQD.
A smooth waxed car makes using UQD a breeze.
I love the stuff, i but a few bottles at one time just to make sure I never run out.

You might want to try using UQW, some prefer it over the UQD.
I've yet to try the UQW but getting ready to buy some and see what the fuss is all about.

I use it all the time and now I am switching to a 128 Oz Mirror Glaze 135

Could be that the towel you are using is dirty and/or loaded with other product like waxes, which tends to smear the excess QD across the surface rather than spread it and absorb it. I would try a fresh supreme shine for a start. Also make sure the surface is in the shade and cool to the touch.

I don't get any streaking I spray on then wipe off right away I think I use a bit too much though I had a full bottle used it 3 times to do a whole car and my bottle is almost empty

Wow! With that much UQD I would be able to write my name in the side of your car with my finger!!! Sometimes I spritz on the car and sometimes just on the towel, but never a third of a bottle in one go round.

At $9.99 USD a bottle, you need to start buying in the bulk gallon size. Oh wait, maybe you are!!

Wow, a bottle last me a long time, guess I could do my car 10-15 times before I run out.
IMO using too much UQD causes you to have to make many passes to finish it which might cause swirls.
But if it works for you that's all that counts.

I do my car daily so it's pretty much clean so it takes less work on my part.

Well maybe not as much as you guys are thinking now it's a little bit more than half the bottle I've done my car 3 times so far so I guess i should start spraying on the mf instead

The towel that I as using is clean and it's a microfiber towel. Initially I spray some on the towel first then a little bit on the car.
