Any synthetic is going to, technically, have a cure time for the polymers to fully crosslink and bond. For max results, therefore, it's best to wait a minimum of 12 hours between coats. That said, sometimes you just don't have that much time to wait (mobile detailers, for example) so if you have to apply a second coat almost immediately, don't let that stop you. Remember, when we recommend two thin coats it is to ensure uniform coverage and appearance, not for purposes of layering. If you want to top a synthetic with a carnauba, then a 12 hour cure time is recommended.

        Mike,

Will the action of topping any synthetic wax with a carnauba damage or disturb the bond or crosslink of the synthetic wax with the paint? I'm asking more of the "rubbing" action as you apply the carnauba wax either by hand or machine.

        Thanks!
