Love my NXT!

Just wanted to post a couple thoughts ... I applied NXT to our E320 and CLS500 today and I am quite impressed. I laid down two coats and then covered each car with a cover to let them set up for twelve hours. I know I should post pictures, but both cars are silver and the images don't reflect (sic) the good job NXT did.

We have one of the Walmart stores which has put their NXT products in the clearance aisle ... their loss and my gain.

And I just wanted to say that I find this forum very useful, and appreciate the many informative and thoughtful posts.

I too, had a car that didn't reflect well or have depth. That changed when I tried NXT!

I was told from Zaino guys that "Just keep in mind that while NXT is a bit more durable than a regular caunauba it is not as durable as a heat resistant polymer like Zaino or Klasse. You just will have to refresh it more often for best results."

What does heat resistant polymer do on car wax or is that false infomation?

Yeah I wish there was a way to silence that guy with his white MINI. LOL. He's always quoting this one article about how much more protection Z offers over NXT which I understand is very slanted. Worse all the MINI newbies listen to him. My only defense is that atleast I'm doing my part by holding these NXT weekend Clinics and making a difference one MINI at a time. LOL

Ask them to show you their proof that those two products are heat resistant? Proof as in some kind of research document? Or are they just talking?

I don't know what the heat limitations are for any of our waxes, but I do know our chemist create products to outperform the competition when our products are used in all parts of the world under both extremes of temperatures, hot and cold. We also have the technology to create mold release waxes that can withstand high temperatures without failing. The chemist that knows how to make a mold release wax for high temperatures also has that knowledge within himself when formulating products for your car.

Where's their proof?

A few weeks ago i asked if anyone uses the NXT booster wax on their wheels, because i had just applied NXT to my rims, and i was looking for something faster, because i dont like to do it.

Anyways, that post was a couple days after i apply the nxt tech wax, so you can look for it to see when i did it.

The rims are still beading , in Florida. Im guessing 4-5 weeks ago, on a daily driver, always parked outside.

I know it isnt specifically designed for wheels, just like its not designed for glass, but i use it on both, and it lasts and lasts and lasts.

So while chemists may not know the durability of a product under situations like on a wheel(maybe they do, they dont advertise it), OTJ testing is proving NXT is heat resistant for me.

Just about any wax will look good on a white finish because white doesn't offer the same depth of color, reflectivity and richness that dark colors offer and show the difference.

Tell me about it! LOL. I buffed out a 5 month old white Toyota Corolla yesterday. You could certainly feel the difference after claybar and NXT Tech Wax, but it didn't look much different. Lack of sunlight didn't help either.

Frankly, I don't care if one wax lasts two or three weeks longer than another. I prefer to wax my cars frequently if only to remove contaminants and other things that can kill your paint finish over time. I like NXT because I find it easy to apply and buff, gives me a nice shine and certainly lasts thru the four weeks or so between times I detail my personal cars.

I too live in Florida; it was already 80 this week and NXT stands up to the heat and moisture just fine. I also was my wheels (clear coated) and the brake dust washes off with just a hose.

I too put NXT on my glass and nothing else does a better job of cleaning the glass. RainX is now an old memory.

Yep, NXT Glass Cleaner is the best product available in the market to clean windshield, only problem I had was hard to find one at auto parts store. I had to go to ProPaint/Detailing supply to get one. I was able to purchase NXT Insane Tire Spray at local Kragen auto supply.

Every time you go to a store, whether it's an auto parts store or any store, if you don't see the Meguiar's product you want, ask an employee for the store manager and simply tell him what you're looking for and what a wonderful product it is.

Store Managers look for this kind of feedback from their customers because they know their customers often have their finger on the pulse of the market. If the Store Manager hears this kind of thing even once or twice, it's going to at a minimum raise his awareness of the issue and at best, cause him to evaluate his current inventory and perhaps move into action.
