How to clean fake exterior chrome?

I have a 3 week old Honda civic that has the fake chrome pieces in the front grille and on the rear trunk. I washed (gold class), polished (deep crystal polish) and waxed (nxt 2.0) my car yesterday but I didn't touch the fake chrome pieces with the polish or the wax. What product do I use to clean and protect it? Can I use the polish and wax or should I be using something else? Also what should I use for the mud guards behind the tires? I have attached couple pictures of my car to show the chrome.

Just wax the "chrome" areas with the same wax you use on your paint. If it is safe for clear coat paint, it is safe for the chrome trim areas. For the mud guards I would start with Gold Class Trim Detailer.

You could also use a good glass cleaner for everyday touch ups. Just make sure the glass cleaner you use does not contain ammonia. Ammonia will strip any wax you may have applied.

Thanks for everyone's suggestions. I used nxt 2.0 wax on the car, but I ended up using UQD to clean it first and then used some UQW to wax the chrome. I have water spots that I thought UQD would get rid of but it didn't. Overall I'm very satisfied with Meguiars products. By the way, my car seems like a bird/squirrel poop magnet. UQD cleans it right up though.
