You have to love Meguiars ease of use and effectiveness

I have tried lot's of waxes, polishes, sealants, and compounds, you name it over the years. I ALWAYS come back to Meguiars, and the reasons are many, but two come to mind:

1) Their products just work.
2) Their products are incredibly easy to use.

I am not bashing other companies, many have quite a few good products. I can't think of one product from Meguiars that I have tried that didn't live up to their claims. I don't know of any other car care company that I can say that about. I recently used some Klasse AIO and Collinite 476. I have used both products many times before, but this last time, I realized that while the combination may outlast most of the Meguiars Sealants and waxes, it just isn't worth it. In the time it took me to put one coat of Klasse AIO, and one coat of Collinite 476 on one small car (Mazda 3), I could have put one coat of ColorX, or A12 Cleaner wax, and any of Meguiars LSP's on both my cars (The Mazda 3, and a Ford Focus). Not too mention, I wouldn't even be breaking a sweat using them compared to all the effort that went into the combo I used.

I won't even mention the smat compounds and polishes, nothing else can touch them, at least nothing over the counter. So my hat's off to Meguiars, great, easy to use products that just plain exceed my expectations every time!!!!

Some people really get into their Boutique products and hey thats cool but I like using Meguiar's because it just plain works!

Some people look down on the product but when they see the results. Nothing short of spectacular.

Meguiar's is always a part of my detailing kits. UC, swirlX, NXT2.0 works well for me.

i just got myself the carlack68 twins (also known as Klasse in some places), its acrylic based with nano technology. Harder to work with vs. NXT 2.0, the learning curve is a bit steeper. But the results after applying it were amazing! Clarity and reflectiveness of the surface was in my opinion better than NXT2.0. So where does this leave nxt 2.0? If brightness, reflectiveness and clarity is what you're after at the expense of user friendliness, this is your sealant.. And its reputed to outlast nxt 2.0 or many waxes. But the carlack68 gave me the brightness i need for the particular car applied it to which is kinda somber/sedate in its look.. Dark color, no chrome trimmings to add "sparkle" to the car..

This does not mean the end of the road for the NXT 2.0 in my arsenal. The NXT2.0 counters with depth and richness of color. Clarity and brightness isn't too bad, as i observed and seen before, the NXT is a fine balance between depth and brightness. Now with regards to its durability vs. carlack 68, i have to see for myself the difference in durability.. is it way more durable than NXT? I have to wait and see. Different people here or outside this forum may have opinions about NXT2.0, but I don't think anyone can argue about the EASE OF USE : RESULTS ratio nxt 2.0 gives.

Meguiar's offers different waxes (from carnauba blends to synthetic polymers, etc) but the finish their waxes give seems to be oriented towards Depth and Richness of color as opposed to the extreme brightness and gloss some sealants (like carlack/klasse).

And yes, meguiars smells good! UC, swirlx, deep crystal carnauba, nxt2.0, all smell good! try that with carlack68, well.. its not a strong smell, but its not a good smelling product at all..

Totally agree with all of the above.

Over the years I've tried MANY other brands, but in the end Megs is ALWAYS the one that does what it says it will!

I agree, and a big factor of that love for a particular brand is the ease of use. If it ain't nice or really a pain to use, even if it gives great amazing results, there's a big probability it won't have a strong following.

So far my experience with the 476s colli wasn't too bad.. I do find quite a joy to apply, i'm able to apply it real thin. Still, it can get tricky at times and while its not too difficult to remove when applied thin, the NXt 2.0 is still easier to remove even when applied too thick. The shine NXT 2.0 is easily on par with the collinite. That's the charm NXT 2.0 gives.. shine, ease of use all things equal.

The carlack, very nice brilliant mirror shine (incredible actually) which is clearly pops in bright sun. It does get sterile on gloomy days where 476s and yep, NXT 2.0 really comes into its own. It also doesn't have that laminated look that I now see and understand after using the carlack twins. I tried the collinite-carlack 68 (klasse all in one) on my silver focus, brilliant shine however the carlack changed its look. It bought out the metallics of the silver but it wasn't the kind of shine or brilliance i wanted.. I am confident however with the durability if these 2 product combo.

I love these 3 products.. collie, carlack, and megs. I may switch to a differnt wax, maybe not, but the ultimate compound, swirlX, ultimate quik wax and detailer will definitely stay.

My favorite look with layered waxes was ColorX followed by Gold Class Carnauba-Plus. The depth to the paint was incredible, but obviously not as long lasting as the Klasse AIO with Collinite over top.

If you know how to use any product you'll have better results, but meguiar's is idiot proof. Every product I've ever used has been great, that's why I swear by them. I'm very picky about what goes into or on my car, and Meguiar's earns the right to be on mine. Lol

yep, meguiars is very easy to use.. very.. the results? very good indeeed. I don't plan to dispose my nxt 2.0 just because og the carlack or collinite 845 or 476s. In fact, i may continue to use it and assign it to a specific car.

NXT 2.0 gives nice depth, so i can't imagine how much deeper and wetter the car looks with gold class carnauba plus. I don't think longevity between the collinite or carlack or megs in terms of durability is that big anyway, but even now i am confident that the gold class can match or beat the two other waxes/sealants in terms of shine/depth. Besides, its a joy to wax cars regularly!

Jaws, nice e36! I'm just not comfy with lowering any car, but still.. nice car. Does your car have an m50 or m52 engine?
