Is Deep Crystal Polish being discontinued?

I've searched everywhere on my local retailers (Target, Walmart, Advance Auto Parts...) and other big online retailer that doesn't charge shipping, and none of them carry the Deep Crystals Polish. Most of them have the Ultimate Polish in stock instead. My understanding is the Ultimate Polish is different than the Deep Crystal Polish, but is the deep crystal polish being discontinued and replaced by ultimate polish?

No plans to discontinue right now... but most retailers probably dont want both kinds of polish taking up shelf space, so picking on or the other.

Thanks, does anyone know which local store (or online stores that do not charge shipping) is still selling the DCP?

I've found it at my Walmart but no longer since UP has come out. Big Lots sometimes carries it as well as Pep Boys, think I saw it at Target about a month ago too. If your local auto parts store is not a busy one they may have some; be worth calling around if you really want it.

I'm thinking about giving up and just use ultimate polish in place of the deep crystal polish, since the latter is so hard to find. Any thoughts on this?

Would be fine.

If you use DC1 and DC2, Ult Polish could replace both.

I could not find the Deep Crystal Polish anywhere either. I found it on ebay, and bought 2 bottles.

As of right now O'Reilly is the only major automotive retailer that is purchasing the Deep Crystal Polish from us. So, they would be your best bet. However, as Murr1525 said, the Ultimate Polish would be a great alternative. Another alternative would be #7 Show Car Glaze.

Well, with Meguiars terminology, polish means the oils that are added to the paint to keep it moisturized and healthy, and also add to the gloss.

I just had one of my car's panel repainted and it doesn't look as glossy as the other panels with original factory paint (it look kind of "cloudy"). I'm waiting for the 30-day breathing time to pass, then I'll try to put on some polish before waxing. Hopefully that will bring that newly painted panel on par with the other panels.

Or maybe he actually reads posts on this forum and follows what's going on. Maybe he pays attention to discussions about product updates, introductions and discontinuations. No need to be so harsh on the guy, but then that seems to a bit of a trend for you.

I don't think Barry runs every decision through him, but he calls him for the more important ones.

Not sure what a "bunch" is, but technically it's called a "majority".

Definitive....usually.

Work....rarely, people work for him.
