  • Cracked Bottle

    Today while I shake my bottle of NXT Tech Wax, I accidentally slipped it out from my hand and fell it on the floor. It left a small crack at the bottom of the plastic bottle and leaked abit. Currently I'm using duck tape to temporarily seal it. I wonder does Meguiar's give free replacement of cracked empty bottle . Thanks!

    I am not sure but you can try. As for me, I would rather find a clean empty bottle to keep the rest of the product.

      i am not sure what they will do for you but i can tell you that about a year ago i had a bottle of quick detailer fall off my bumper and crack. loosing most of the product. i had just recieved the qd in the mail with a bunch of other items that i had purchased from meguiar's.

      i called the customer service number that i got off the reciept from the order. i was really mad when i dialed and was prepared to give them a peice of my mind. i told them exactly what had happened and before i new it the customer service representative said to me, "we will have another bottle shipped to you immedidately." i was stunned and pleased. upon later reflection i am embarrassed at my anger. i know now, that it was all my fault becasue of where i had placed the bottle. if i had put it into an area that was better suited for placement this would never have happened.

      Meguiar's customer service is second to none in my opinion!!

        It's easier to go and buy a plastic bottle, though. Not as cool looking, but easier.

          Please, don't anybody take any offense from this, but I personally think it's wrong to take advantage of great customer service by asking them to replace something that was no fault of the manufacturer, or the shipping company.

          Will they take care of it? Probably, but I think it's wrong to ask.

          On a side note, I take most of my products and put them in containers that are a bit more substantial, and can take some abuse. For the products I don't, I take a lot more care handling them.

            Thats is a an excellent point and I must agree, as I run my own business I will bend over backwards if I was at fault, but when you get people just trying to scam you for a discount or free stuff it annoys me.

            As Boss 429 said no offense to the people who posted before I don't know your situation completely, I just wanted to share my thoughts. A kind customer with a valid complaint will usally get twice as much.
            Sometimes the facts are just other peoples opinions....! ha!

              i agree with you both. i only mentioned what i did to re-enforce my comment that meguiar's will go the extra mile to facilitate a customer. i did not say that i was right. yet, it is what i did.

              in my case, Meguiars was not interested in what was right. they were interested in a satisfied customer. which they have.
