First off I want to paint a detailed picture for you guys as I dont have any pictures to put up. The test bed is a 2011 jet black 328i BMW wagon. It has 1500 miles and has always been garaged. When we first brought the car home back in October last year it received a basic new car prep. I washed with Ultimate wash and wax, clayed with the consumer clay and quick detailer, cleaned with swirlx on a polishing pad and finished with NXT with a finishing pad. Since then the car has recieved two other coats of NXT, a weekly wipedown with UQD and every third week or so UQW.
Now that you have somewhat of an idea of the condition of the paint, I got a chance to go out in the garage and try out the new UWP. It does need another proper prep from all the weekly wipe downs so the paint is not perfect. However I couldnt stand to wait any longer for a prep as I had to use the UW.
My method of application was using a 4" finishing pad affixed to my D/A when putting down the UWP. I have never done this process before as I have always used a 7" finishing pad and liquid to put down the wax. I spread it on very thin and allowed it to cure for 3 hours before wipe off.
For the removal I used a Meg's SS microfber. When removing it did not take any extra effort and found removal to the same degree as NXT. I did not experiance any streaking as others have mentioned. I will soon move the car outside to inspect the finish but I am overly satisfied with the UW.
The weapons of choice will now be the Ultimate trio for my black BMW's.
Now Meg's you guys really knocked this one out of the park. Consider the bar raised fellas.
