    Re: Ultimate Liquid Wax Tips

I like that Meguiars uses different color applicators for different waxes because it helps me keep my gold class/nxt/and ultimate wax separated.

ffboy, yes.. I was lucky and so was my car.
At one point it was a debate, take the money or fix the car.
After looking in the paper for cars for a couple days it became very clear that used car shopping at this time was not a good idea.
They only thing people are selling now are their troubles. You CANNOT find a 93 Camry like this one... very low miles.
...besides my body shop said he could fix it, that there was no structural damage.
Just wiped out one side of my car.
Since this car was bought new by my mom and only has 109K mi. on it, I really wanted to keep it if I could.. It's a great year Camry.

My insurance cashed me out, they didn't want to fix it.. so I took their money($4700) and had it done myself with money to spare. Of course my bodyshop guy knocked $2500.00 off the top because he fixes my 95 yr. old mom's car and likes her...Yes, 95!

So the total cost of fixing my car.. was under $2700 painted...$1000 of it was for the paint job. In L.A. you can get a nice paint job for a grand.. not so other places but we have a lot of competition. I was charge very little labor by the body shop.

Tomorrow I have an appointment to get my windows tinted. It's illegal in Ca. but there are so many gang banger with tinted window that I figure I'll take my chances ... if those punks can get away with it, I, someone who is a lot older and mature shouldn't be too worried. In addition, since this 20 yr old car now looks like new, it won't catch the eye of the cops. (maybe they will say, "hell... in a couple years it will be a classic, HA!, let him slide)....I will not have the windows tinted to the point that you have a hard time seeing me, I just want to cut down on some heat.

20 year old car that looks like new.. I consider it to be a privilege to own or at least be part owner of a 20 year old car that still looks beautiful.. We also have a 20year old car (92 525i e34), it was also repainted. Man, after a ful detail, it still looks nice!

This is a picture of the Ultimate Wax. Again, very buttery with a nice berry like scent

Picture of the waxes Constancy immediately after application. As you can tell its very transparent on the paint

21min dry time exactly. Note I do have a 3m clear bra 12in at the bottom of the hood. The Ultimate Wax worked perfectly on the bra

Notice how close I got to the plastic trim. I made sure to get right on it to test if it will stain

          Finished Results

Thanks for the additional pics. That paint looks outstanding!

I also was thinking along the same lines as you with the towel and pad being black - It's impossible to see any significant dirt on them. No biggie though.

Really wanted to try out the wax in the near future..but I see 20 degree days for the next 10 days here...oh well...I'll save the $20 and buy a loaded up pizza instead for now.
