The video you are looking at is from Meguiarsasia. I don't think it's available here yet.

The products featured in that video I believe are only available in Australia, with Meguiar's just releasing an Engine Cleaner available in the USA. As of right now, they do not offer a specific "Engine Dressing" available OTC, however Meguiar's Hyper Dressing is a great choice for that application. You can purchase just a quart of it (rather than a whole gallon) from ADS.

After the cleaning step, spray Hyper Dressing liberally from 3 angles. Close the bonnet/hood, and wait three or four hours.

        Open hood. Smile.

        Easy. Simple. Excellent results.

Try using Gold Class Trim Detailer. It's safe enough because it's water-based. It's great for engine hoses. I do think they still make the aerosol version of this.

            What dilution are you using?

With Hyper Dressing it depends on what you prefer for gloss:

              High Gloss 1:1
              Medium Gloss 2:1
              Satin Finish 3:1
              Natural Finish 4:1

Personally, I prefer natural to satin finish so that is the way I would cut it.

Mirror Glaze #40 is also an excellent product if you prefer this look, and like Hyper Dressing it can also be used for a number of other applications like tires, wheel wells, trim, etc.

FWIW, I've taken to using UQW (D156) on the engine compartment components, hoses and plastics with great results. It dries, oil and film free, so doesn't attract and hold dust and grime. It leaves a slickness that make these components very easy to keep clean too. Just a wipe with a MF is usually all that is needed. It lasts a long time and imparts a great "new" look to the engine compartment. This is one product that I now use on the paint, door jams, exterior vinyl trim, glass and chrome/SS, replacing several dedicated products and it does it all well.

I use Megs WBD or Vinyl 40 on my engine bay. Here is a pic.

I just use whatever protectant I have at hand...ultimate protectant, ultimate quick wax, Gold class trim detailer, etc.
