  • "Nano" Wax by Prestone

It was a deal I couldn't refuse. Sixteen ounces of "wax," an applicator and a MF towel for the price of a stamp and sales tax.

Interesting packaging - the pump and all, but the product was just not as good as NXT. I applied two coats according to directions and the "minor" defects were still there. So much for the "nano" granules of carnaube and fillers!

Just now, I reapplied NXT Tech Wax and the results were most satisfying. The Minor" defects were masked quite nicely and the gloss was right up to NXT par. (Mind you, the "Nano" was no slouch on the gloss side.)

Meantime, I do have that MF at a decent price.

I don't think that pictures, as displayed at 72 pixels per inch would show much of a difference. The gloss is about the same and the spiderweb coverage at this level is hard to see, let alone capture in an image. I admit that I'm biased. But please take my word for it when I say that NXT is subtly superior to "Nano."

Didn't Eagle One just a "nanowax" also? My local auto parts store was out of it. Kit Wax just introduced a new type of carnauba wax too. Turtle Wax also has a new mid to high end line of detailing products, including a quick detailer the name of which escapes me.

It seems like every few years there is a bunch of new wax introductions. The others probably won't match up to NXT though.

I have used the EO NANO wax, I think you may have the manufacturers mixed up.

Unless prestone is now offering the same deal and their own NANO wax.

FWIW, I liked the NANO wax, it wasn't that bad. I don't think I would buy another bottle, but I will use it again.

Some say that E.O. Nano is just repackaged cleaner glaze from their pro. line . The pro line cleaner glaze is pink in color, what color is Nano.?

It is a shade of brownish dark khaki, definitely not pink.

While I have never used the EO cleaner glaze, I can see where that maybe possible. The NANO reminded me of #5 with protection. Maybe even a bit oilier(if that is a word).
