ADS and Autogeek dont appear to have it ... Where can one get some?

It was discontinued several years ago. I have a stash of it as I love using it on my RV. And no, Shampoo Plus is not the same, not even close, IMHO The old Wash 'N Wax smelled awesome and would sheet the water fairly well making it ideal for large RV's where drying with MF towels would take forever.

On paint however, the Wash 'N Wax needed to be used on a very cool surface. Otherwise, it would not rinse well. And one other side-effect, fruit flies loved the smell a little too much! LOL

For automotive paint, the shampoo that I use the most by far is the Shampoo Plus. It rinses really well, leaves optical brighteners behind (not the same as the Wash 'N Wax), and has an excellent price to performance ratio.

The detailer line's Wash N Wax is later replaced by the current Shampoo Plus.
I think Meguiar's should emphasize the Shampoo Plus is a wash and wax shampoo, hence for the PLUS in the product name. (i am not expert in marketing things anyway)

I really LOVE the Shampoo Plus - gives excellent result, and is very economical.

i use what i have the detailer line isnt available where i live or at least it is very rare

I use all of the Meguiars soaps & shampoos fairly often.

Just depends what I am working on that ends up being my choice.

Hey,

In order from my experience and with my water hardness (water hardness makes a big difference in the way some soaps foam):

1. D110 Hyper Wash
2. Super Soap
3. M62 Car Wash Shampoo and Conditioner
4. Gold Class and D111 Shampoo Plus


My two most used by far: 1.) D111 Shampoo Plus and 2.) M62 with the M62 being my overall preference.

And...like Mike said, it is not the foam but rather the lubricity that makes the biggest difference.

i have deep crystal car wash i reviewed it. if you want to see let me know. and i also have nxt wash and the u wash and wax i will review in the spring. i do like the foam from the DCCW works great and is cheap

Lots of suds and does a great job cleaning the paint.

I think Nxt has the most cleaning ability, and Gold Class leaves the nicest looks behind.

I have found #62 Shampoo and Conditioner to be a nice blend of both.

Gold Class has great suds and lubricity. NXT decent subs but awesome cleaning power.

Keep in mind that suds aren't really what cleans the car, so don't get too caught up in the suds alone. For a foam gun or foam cannon the suds generated by the foaming action of those tools helps the soap better cling to the vehicle for a bit longer, but that's really all.

It's the ingredients in the soap itself that emulsify the dirt, helping to remove it from the surface of the vehicle.

I have always found that NXT Wash soap provides the most suds.

If you are looking for something in the consumer line that may be more readily available I would say Gold Class.
