I own one of these and really appreciate it. I have hard water so I am lucky to dry 2 cars with it. I use the soap with it, but am planning on using Gold Class car wash from now on and continuing to use the filtered water drying spray thing. I haven't had any problems even with the crappy soap mr clean uses ( although i see no real benifits with it).

And secondly, has Meguiar's thought about producing their own type of gizmo such as the one Mr Clean makes ? hint hint

      Ok here we go...

About 3 weeks ago I washed my car and put 2 layers of NXT wax on it.

As you can imagine it got dust and bugs and bird droppings all over it within those 3 weeks, so I was pretty tied up this weekend and instead of going for a full on detail job, I opted for the Autodry route...

First of all it was definatly faster than cleaning traditionally, I'll give it that. But I found to thoroughly clean the car it takes a good 45 min.

The result? Well....My car is black so its easy to see imperfections...From far away it looked damn good

But from up close...I noticed the little things that made me say "Damn, got my hopes up for nothing"

But overall, if you want a quick wash in between detailng jobs, then Autodry is a good option

Then again for 45 min you might as well just wash with a mit, some Meg Soap, and dry with an Absorber

      My 2 cents

Thats too funny! You need to have someone take a pictures while your hosing the dog down.... What's the dog think of this process?

He actually doesn't mind it. If the weather is clear tomorrow I will take some pictures. He is due for a bath; the recent rain has him reeking of wet dog.

I continue to use the Mr. Clean machine with NXT soap. I have awesome results with it, too.

I've never actually let the car sit to evaluate the "auto dry" features. I always use the Absorber to dry it, so I can go ahead and get a coat of NXT wax or booster wax on the car!

about the mr. clean auto dry. first off you can only use the soap that they tell you to buy because it has or doesnt have a certain chemical which helps it not to spot. but the thing is that the mr clean does leave spots. it still spots, but not as much as a regular wash. the filters are suppose to last about 10 washes. that is not necessarily true. everytime you use the hose with the Mr. Clean attached to it it uses up the filter. So say you just finished washing your car, and you now need to clean the sponges off with water and you run the water thru the Mr. Clean.... it will use up your filter. so basically you need to change the filter after the fourth wash. or it will start leaving spots on your car.
