    Hey,

Mike summed it up very well. Meguiar's is dedicated in providing the best products possible to the detailing enthusiast or the professional. I would not hesitate for a moment to use their designated products on your tires.

      Thanks for the positive feedback.

I read on another site mostly made of pro's that for consumers "a guy" uses one type of dressing(good for tires-less bling though), and for dealerships he uses another type of dressing (bad long term for tires-more bling).

I was just wondering about the higher intensity shines, if they were made of the same stuff this guy says he uses on cars for dealerships.

I am not really sure about this whole subject, but i am glad Meg;s is rubber friendly

        RoBb,

I am glad to hear that the wax did not stain trim.

Are your door handle and the plastic arount the antenna textured or smooth?

        Thanks.

        ps

        Any recommendation for wax?

I am lazy. I gave up training myself to quickly mask tiny plastic and rubber pieces on my car before waxing. Putting vinyl protectant does not seem to help very much. So I want a wax that does not stain trim. If the stain on trim can be removed by a little brushing during washing – without dedicated ultra strong chemical -, it would be OK for me.

In addition to easy application (especially less trim staining), I want long lasting protection. The car is white, outside 24/7, has some black textured plastic trims and rubber trims (door handle, exposed door seal, etc.)

I have experience with TurtleWax Platinum Ultra Gloss liquid. I think it is a good wax, but I want to try something else in search for better protection against stain. After about one month, my 24/7 outside white car starts to get black dots that are not easily removed with wash mitt and properly diluted car wash. With occasional spray wax and/or automatic car wash with “30 day beading Blue Coral option, I can see good water beading even after 3 months from waxing. However, stain resistance seems to diminish.

I have some waxes in my mind to try, but I do not want to buy every bottle or can.
TurtleWax Platinum liquid and pasted seem to have been reformulated.
        Mothers introduced new synthetic waxes.
I did not yet try EagleOne Nano.
I am interested in NXT wax, because it is Meguiars’ best protecting wax. However, Meguiars says NXT is a pure wax: so I may need to do two step at each waxing.
I have never tried Meguiars professional line paint protectants.

I will not try Zaino because I have no energy to do the multi-step, and Zaino system is expensive too. Furthermore, I think I do not yet have the skill to put extremely thin layer. So I will not try Klasse AIO/SG either.

I'm also too lazy to tape up my trim...hehehe.

I would avoid the automated car washes altogether. NXT is Meguiar's best protecting wax, it is not a pure wax, however. If I recall correctly, it is a purely synthetic wax.

What do the black spots look like? Do they look like dirt that's in the paint, or do they look like dirt that's on the paint?

My suggestion for you would be to:
1: Wash the car with a quality wash (Gold Class works great for me)
2: Clay the car. This will take off any contaminants that are on the paint.
3: Apply ColorX. This will clean the paint of any gunk that's become a part of it.
4: Apply NXT 2 times. Give it a good time to cure between applications. This is amazing stuff.

If you decide you want to get swirls out, that's an extra step or two. Have fun!

NXT is listed on “pure wax category:

When I am busy, and when it is very cold, I go to auto wash. The fabrics rotate fairly slowly in the auto wash I use. And the car comes out fairly dry - dried by warm air.

The black dots that are not removed by normal washing are of diameter 1 ~ 4 mm (about one thenth of an inch or a little smaller or a little larger).
They seem to be road grime. The can appear anywhere on the painted exterior surface of the car, but I see them more often behind wheel area, and the vertical surface facing rear at the rear end.

I think I will not have energy to put another coat the next day. Is the protection poor with single coat?

                Nice review, and great results!

I can't wait to get outside and try out the new products. Everything I have heard has been positive so far. The products are in my detailing bag and ready to be used!

I'm glad you like the new products so much. The new Insane Tire Shine has looked amazing in every single picture I have seen so far!
