I think ultimate compound is no good

When I was on vacation about six months ago I went to the National Automobile Museum in Reno and bought a bottle of Meguiar's ultimate compound. I recently tried to use it and I think it is no good.

it has the consistency of water, when I shake the bottle it sounds like shaking a bottle of water and the contents is white and watery.

questions

is it supposed to be thin and watery or is it supposed to be thick and paste looking like swirlX?

I have shaken it for about half an hour, is there a way to make it usable?

any help will be appreciated

It sounds like your product got separated and you can't mix it back together. It shouldn't be watery. It could be due to storage problems: high temperature,
high humidity, etc. Maybe even when you bought it there was some problem already. It doesn't look like you can use it anymore. Try to talk to Meg's Customer Service maybe they could help.

Call customer service. By any chance did you expose the bottle to temperature extremes?

I think I got the UC like that and I don't think it was ever in any temperature extremes.

Had the same problem over a year ago. Meguiar's replaced it.

It sounds like the products was frozen -this is typical for frozen product to separate water and abrasive parts

Ask Customer service or your distributor to replace that bottle.

I emailed customer service and they replaced that bottle of ultimate compound, no questions no hassle, it really surprised me.

from now on everything I use will be Meguiar's, they have really good customer relations.

You wouldnt get that kind of customer service here in malaysia. The customer service or aftersales here S**K* big time!

Combined with the high price and product availability, that I have stopped buying Meguiars products.

A shame really, for they have an extensive range and all their products are quite good.

Sorry to hear that you have a bad experience with Meguiar's purchases and customer service.

Could you try neighboring places: Singapore, Hongkong? If you really like Meguiar's it's worth to try.

Same thing happened to one of my bottles. It seems to me that UC is more susceptible to affects caused by temperature changes. I know you mentioned that you didn't subject yours to temp extremes...but I keep one bottle in the trunk of my car.
