    3M show car paste Wax and Tech wax 2.0

    A warm Regards to all pro's here.

    I have a question to ask. my car finish is prepped up . I have clayed the surface , removed deep scrathes with ultimate coumpund, polished the surface with megs 205.

    now i dont have a dedicated paint sealent. can i just use nxt 2.0 as a sealent and later top it up with 3M show car paste wax ???

    please dont advise me to buy any sealent etc. because i am based in India and all these products are carried by my friend along with megs DA.

    I learned a lot from megs video and pays my heartiest thanx to meguiars for such a great products.

    I'm using NXT 2.0 as a sealant currently with 2 coats & once its cured, top off with Collinite 845. I guess 3M show car paste wax should be safe to use on top of NXT 2.0.

    Experts - Please suggest your views !!

      NXT is a dedicated synthetic paint sealant. You can use it by itself (one or more coats) or you can top it with your 3M wax or any carnauba wax. Enjoy and good luck!

        can you use the original nxt as a sealant/2 layer as well? i know it has cleaning agents in the original formula... i know you can top it with any pure wax, but unsure about layering the original nxt like most ppl do with 2.0

          Yes your NXT2.0 is a sealant. 2 coats is fine.

            so does it make any diffrence in appreance / is it worth to put a coat of 3M show car paste wax on 2 cured coats of tech wax 2.0. does it offer any extra protection ??


            @Nirmal : sir i dont even have 845, and not even have mollah to buy it as all savings are blasted on latest consignment
            If file is not playing Install codecs first and play file in windows media classic player.

              Yes!! Even adding another coat of NXT2.0 will make a noticeable difference!

              and I guess 3M show car wax is either a carnauba wax or a blended/hybrid wax.

              And topping up a sealant with a carnauba wax will definitely bring that deep wet shine!

              (All waxes offer a sacrificial barrier to your paint or previous sealant/wax layers below them. They are constantly attacked and thinned out by the elements like sunlight, bird poo, hard water salts etc.

              so, you need to keep topping up the protection weekly or monthly depending on the environment the car stays in for most of the time!)
