    Re: dull finish on clearcoat

The pictures are kind of out of focus so it is very hard to see what is going on. Has your Corvette ever had any body work? It almost looks like it could be (but hard to tell) DA sanding marks that where not buffed out completely or it could be some type of staining on the clear coat that needs something abrasive to remove (based on the results you achieved with UC).

Where about in Florida do you live?
Let's make all of the cars shiny!

Can't really tell form these photos. In my original reply I said UC did very little to correct an identical looking issue on my Saturn. M105 on a cutting pad created a diamond like finish. I never knew my paint had so much metallic look to it!!

No body work has been done on this car. Just years of being exposed to the South Florida weather even though the car is washed and waxed.

Question about UC? I'm kinda worried that if I rub it into for too long or too much that it will eat through the clear coat too much. How hard is to to burn through the clear coat? I keep reading that the clear coat on vettes are "thin but very hard".

        I live in Miami.

I bet it made a huge difference on your Saturn. The UC with some elbow grease seems to be doing well for me so far in the areas that I tested it out on. The factory paint on my car is non-metallic.
