  • NXT Tech Wax 2.0 = 2 Thumbs Up (Pics Included)

For the first time, I tried NXT Tech Wax 2.0; the result is fantastic.

Before waxing, I used Ultimate Compound on 100% of my paint which peels away the original wax; therefore, I applied NXT Tech Wax (ONLY 1 THIN COAT) shortly after...

I was too sore from washing, drying, claying, and UCing my entire vehicle by hand so I didn't apply the 2nd coat of Tech Wax. I will wax again next weekend for more dramatic results....

Very nice work! Great job especially since it was done by hand!

A tip for next time though is to use Colorx instead of a paint cleaner. It is very hard to see imperfections on white paint and sometimes, clean and shiny is good enough for white. Using the UC may not have made that much of an improvement ofver using Colorx topped with NXT 2.0. The Colorx will do a great job of removing dirt from the pores of the oaint and really deep clean the paint to darken the white and give it some depth.

      That was very finely done.

I would like to point out that in this case, it looks like you were doing a fairly in depth makeover. So if you ask me, it would make more sense to take it a step further than just the Ultimate Compound. I mean go for mirror glaze or another pure polish. Now, it is a white car, so that doesn't necessarily make much of a difference at all. But on darker cars, if you have one, it is definitely going to give you some eye popping results.

On the whole, though, NXT 2.0 is the best wax (in my own opinion) that there is on the markets right now. It is well worth the money you'll pay for it.

Very nice results. You put in a lot of effort working by hand and it paid off. Your paint looks much happier now that it's clean and shiny, it was look a little depressed. :-)

NXT 2.0 is hands-down my favorite LSP that can be had OTC.

            Good work.

Impressive results. I agree with you that NXT 2.0 is a great wax and I think the best wax you could buy locally.

I finally found an AutoZone that carries Color X (it is so hard to find a store has Color X...)

Would it make my paint to "pop" more if I apply Color X w/ NXT Tech Wax EVERY TIME I wax? How often should I use Color X?

Thanks! Yup, it was very depressing; I didn't know how to take care of my paint job until I found Meguiar's. I used to just "wax" my car without prepping it with clay or remove defects before waxing. Meguiar's products are totally awesome.

I would apply NXT 2.0 once a month (my personal preference).

I would do a full colorX application once every 3rd application of NXT.

Again..these are just my personal preferences for this type of product.
