Has anyone topped NXT with S100? I couldn't find anyone at Off-Topic or Autopia who went beyond talking about the idea.

S100 on NXT
I have applied a coat of S100 over a preped NXT. I had second thoughts right after I finished - the NXT looked better than I had seen on my black Santa Fe.
As is usual with S100, the surface really "pops" after a couple of days. I had this combination on the car for a week with an occasional spritz with FD. When I took the car into service at my Jarguar/Hyundai dealer, the manager came out and asked if I had a shot of clear sprayed on the car. He averred that he had never seen a richer look on a black car. (Mind you, this is a JAGUAR/Hyundai dealer.)
I told them that the look was the result of using NXT - I didn't feel like trying to explain what S100 was.
For my money a properly prepared surface with NXT followed by S100 and touched up with Megs' Final Detail is the ABSOLUTE best combo for this particular black Hyundai Santa Fe!

I personally haven't tried topping NXT Tech Wax with anything yet. To date, I can't think of a time where I thought using a topper would improve the finish.
In fact, for all of the cars I have detailed for other people, I prefer them to continue to use the Tech Wax for regular maintenance.
Next time I have a black car in the garage, I'll try a couple of things just to see what's what. My gut feeling is that with most products, I think there is a greater chance of dulling the results than their are of darkening the results. (Which is a way of saying the results will probably become less clear with an application of another product.
But... you never know... plus what looks good in my eyes doesn’t necessarily mean the same thing will look good in someone else’s eyes.

Gadfly:
& How many thin NXT coats did you use? 1 or 2?
When did you apply S100?
Mike:
Thanks for the input! I value your advice over anyone else. I just read in another forum about S100 kind of dulling the effects of the NXT look so I might just try the NXT/s100 on my mom's black Nissan Xterra and then just go with applying NXT on the Jeep, then wait 'till next morning to apply another coat.
Hopefully I will get pics this weekend if it gets above 50!
