  • Gold Class Trim Detailer does the job!!

Hi from Switzerland (yes, we have Meguairs here too...) ;-)

Just want to give a short feedback on the product "Gold Class Trim Detailer".
Before I used it on my car-parts I tried it on my wife's rubber boots first.
This product is just amazing! Here some pictures....

    Greetings mike

Great Results! In the future you should try Meguiars Ultimate Protectant too.

            Hi Matt

Thanks for your reply! Unfortunately, I can't get the product "Ultimate Protectant" over here in Switzerland... :-\

Nice transformation - I trust that you did the other boot as well after taking these photos

Gold Class Trim Detailer was the first Meguiars product I ever used and it got me hooked on the brand.

Re: Gold Class Trim Detailer does the job!!

Yeah, Gold Class Trim product is GREAT.

I had used Ultimate Protectant, but switched back to Gold Class Trim.

On black rubber type trim and whatnot, Gold Class Trim blows away ultimate protectant. The finish is much more consistent, black, and lasts longer too.

I do not know about other areas and interior, as I use neither there, but on rubber trim, Gold Class Trim Detailer I believe is the best.

Re: Gold Class Trim Detailer does the job!!

I,m sorry I dont agree, I live in Australia and it is currently winter here, very cold and wet. I bought some Gold class Trim Detailer which was expensive IMO at $20.00 and went to work on my 2003 Jeep Cherokee Renegade (limited edition Red River Sports). It looked great all the black plastic trim on the outside was glossy and black. The day I applied was sunny but quite cool, probably only 12 (celcius) two days later it rained and its all back to blotchy again like it was before. Seemed to wash off.
I think black plastic paint would be a better option but even that would have to wait later in the year when it is warmer. I believe it has to be over 10 C before you can use spray paint.

Re: Gold Class Trim Detailer does the job!!

It's like the cheapest Meguiar's product in the U.S. Less than $5.00 sometimes.
                          It's a tiny bottle.

There is also a Gold Class Protectant for like interior trim, not sold many places. It's just average.

Does anyone know how Long you have to leave it before it goes in the rain? I did my Jeep Cherokee (red River Limited Edition) and two days later it rained. My trim went back to the way it was, all mottled. It looked great when I first did it. I should point out that it is quite cold here in Victoria Australia, almost the middle of winter and rainy although it hadnt rained for two days when I applied it.

Gold Class Trim Detailer is a water based dressing that does not have the same technology as Ultimate Protectant. Because of this, it does not bond to the plastic the same way that Ultimate Protectant and will wash off in rain storms. That is simply the beast of water-based dressings unless we are talking about Ultimate Protectant.
