I find it interesting that you listed Turlte Wax products as some of the best on the market but failed to mention Poorboys, Dodo Juice, Wolfgang, Optimum, 3m, Blackfire, Autoglym, Clearkote, DP, Duragloss, Menzerna, Griots, Collinite and even Mothers.

We could equally ask why Chemical Guys or Zaino aren't on your list, and I bet we could go on for days building a truly comprehensive list

When was gold class plus launched?

In the Uk I only seem to be able to get gold class wax not plus

Also I have purchased some ultimate compound as I still have a few swirls in the paint on my daily drive.

I will be masking the hood/panels in sections and rubbing in a backwords and side to side motion to keep swirls to an absolute min. Also using Meguirs foam pad. The only thing i noticed when rubbing hard with these pads your fingers tend to dig into the pads any hints and tips

Also would it be fine to use uc followed by nxt tch wax 2.0 or do I need to do use dc 02 before applying wax?

Gold Class Carnauba Plus is a new product for 2010 and started showing up on store shelves in the US in February of this year. Getting new products to international markets does take a bit longer, but we see that GCCP is now listed on the Meguiar's UK website. You might want to contact them (http://www.meguiars.co.uk/contact-us) and see if they can direct you to a stockist near you.

Try not to use your fingertips when working with these pads. If you move the pad further down your fingers and use your thumb to secure the edge you'll greatly reduce the chance of creating unwanted marks in the paint.

Depending on how the paint responds to the product and application process, and what your goals are, you may very well be able to go straight to wax. But if you're chasing the very best shine you can achieve, then DC2 is a great idea.

I guess all part of the learning curve with ref to holding the pad. I want the best shine possible so I will use U/C followed by dco2/ nxt tech wax 2.o with gold class plus on top.

Also I have noticed on the bottle of u/c it states rubbing in circular motions. Is that correct? since doing abit of research most people suggest rubbing back and forth followed by side to side to reduce swirls. Is that correct? to me that seems to make perfect sense.

I've used a few different waxes with the legend. And products posing as wax (ahem, Turtle Wax ICE).

Turtle Wax Black Box: I'll give this a rating of "eh." It's alright, but there is absolutely nothing special about it except for the effort it takes to apply.

Black Magic Wet Shine Wax: This will give a pretty nice shine to the car. However, the difficulty of removing the excess makes it a real pain. I'll call this "pretty darn good."

NXT 2.0 Paste Wax: Now this is a great product. It gives really good shine, long lasting beading, and is by far the easiest to remove the excess. If you are to use just one wax, this is definitely the one to use.

Now what is my overall recommendation? Go with the NXT. But I will say that if you like the look that Black Magic Wet Shine gives to the car (which many people do), then consider layering. Throw the Wet Shine on as the base coat of wax. It will look great. Then, layer it on with some NXT 2.0 for long lasting protection. The car will look absolutely great and what's more? It will last a long long time.

Just remember that if you do this, keep on applying the NXT regularly. You're not going to want to have to put the black magic wax on any more often than you need to.

Recevied wax today but it is the old gold classI have spoke to there customer service and they are going to refund me the total amount plus return carrage back to them. It seems to be an error on there website as I ordered then new.

There is no confirmed available date in the uk as of yet

Tried the GCCP wax today and it's AWESOME!!! Hate to say it, but I prefer it much more than the NXT 2.0 on my black Porsche. NXT was always streaking, took forever to dry, and was a bear to remove. I applied the GCCP with a black polishing pad with the G110V2 and it took me about 15 minutes on the Cayenne. Let it dry for about 20 mins, then wiped it right off. No serious buffing like with the NXT. No sun views yet, but I'll get some tomorrow. I might even do another coat, just for fun

Hate to say it, but I prefer it much more than the NXT 2.0 on my black Porsche.

You'll find plenty of people who agree with you, and plenty who don't. Neither one is right or wrong - what you like on your car is all that really matters.

A lot of people feel that carnauba waxes, like Gold Class Carnauba Plus, give them a deeper and wetter look on black cars than synthetics do. But plenty of people absolutely love NXT on black cars. Either way, we love your excitement over finding a product you like so much!

I might even do another coat, just for fun

I find NXT 2.0 excellent. I have heard people suggest you apply a second coat of wax and use GCCP.

I will reserve judgement untill I have tried it.

Did the second coat of GCCP the other day and it looks fantastic. Although some of the streaking and blotting is still there as from the NXT, but not nearly as much. That was more from my probably using too much product at first - it was my first application using the machine. That only happened on the front end, and it's not too bad.
Overall, I ended up putting 2 coats of the GCCP on top of 1 coat of NXT and it looks great. I might try a different combination on my other black car this week.

Biggest difference in most waxes most people will notice is really slickness.

That said, I have done a side by side comparison for a friend of mine (average car guy and not a detailer) asked him which side of my hood had which wax. He couldnt tell a difference from regular standing distance away. (blackfire one side NXT other side). Honestly, I cant say whether I see a difference to much either, I think part of it is mental. While I think blackfire may be a bit slicker I still love NXT and its a great wax even more so when you see the price! Lots of it will be people wanting to try out everything they can (me ) and sometimes its just people that think the more expensive is better.

Best is/and will always be, in the eyes of the waxer.
