    Ultimate Protectant MSDS concern

    I noticed the MSDS for the new products are now available so I checked them out. As usual, the main concern for most Meguiar's products are eye and skin irritation due to prolonged exposure which is rare. However, the new Ultimate Protectant shocked me with the statement, "Contains a chemical or chemicals which can cause birth defects or other reproductive harm." Given the fact that when I use it I always get some on my hands, and when used on an interior, repeated contact daily to interior surfaces will surely cause additional contact. I personally may stop using it now and just stick with the good old QID for my interiors.

    It seems like everything has that warning on it nowdays. If you are using it every day, then you I'd suggest wearing some chemical resistant gloves.

    I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.
    I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
    Remove swirls my friends.

      It could mean that you'll love it and want to use it so much that you'll have no time for a mate.

          We are also double checking to ensure there wasn't a mistake made on the MSDS itself relating to that product

            Well I'd also worry about kids in the car that come into contact with dressed interiors.

            Sounds good...I was surprised to see that! Most of the products are just irritants so I found this one curious.
