  • ScratchX 2.0 did a great job

I cant believe that the ScratchX 2.0 could be effective enough to take care of a scratch this severe! I gave the customer no promises.

Used my D/A on speed 6 and completely removed this scratch. You would never have known it was there.

Unfortunately, the customer picked it up so promptly, I didnt get a chance to take an "after" pic. You're just going to have to take my word for it that 2.0 can handle even scratches like this.

WOW! That would have been great to see the after picture.

Why u went to speed 6? Wouldnt 5 be ok?
Remember 6 its not really recommended unless you know what your doing.

      Pics or it didn't happen

That must be some pretty soft paint. I wouldn't have thought Scratch X 2.0 would have corrected that damage without doing 20+ passes.

You customer is very lucked that there was so little damage done to their vehicle. It looks like whatever did that, had the potential to do major damage.

      Good job!

My Brother is well versed in a Rotary Buffer, Namely a Makita 9227c and he had a Quasar Blue Met. 1995 Camaro z28 that the owner REALLY screwed the paint. This mark the one time where he went to 5 and 6. As he a stuanch advocate for #2 or just one click below. He needed to heat up and move the paint around and the car is fine now.

The owner of the car came back today to commend us on how impressed her husband was with the results. This allowed me an opportunity to take an after pic.

I've just been under the experience higher speeds for when you want to compound and lower speeds for application. Until Now I never heard that speed 6 was bad. 5 probably would have worked fine too.

                Great job!

Not to take anything away from your efforts, but it looks like most of the original damage was paint transfer, hence why you got excellent results.

I've been up to speed 5.5 or 5.75 on the DA before without any worries. I don't usually like turning anything up to full

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Just as a footnote, it probly was mostly paint transfer, but those marks would not "wipe" off by any means. Only a D/A and a good compound had any effect.
