I do not apply another wax over NXT. I like the look and protection alone, but I do apply 2 thin coats of NXT. Seems to give a deeper look to the paint I would imagine a slightly better protection.

      Hey,

Some people top others do not. Before NXT, one of my favorite combos was #20 Polymer Sealant topped with #26 Hi-Tech Yellow Wax. However, with NXT, I have found that just using 2 coats of NXT Tech Wax provided the gloss, warmth and depth I prefer!

Here is a write-up about topping NXT:

        Hi Dave,

Like Tim mentioned, two well-applied thin coats and you should be good to go. Over time, on multiple different forums a topic comes up from time to time on how to clean pads that have been used with NXT Tech Wax. The one thing they have in common is most people describe cleaning the wax out of their pads as difficult even when a strong detergent is used.

        Here's another thread titled,

        NXT durability doubts

The topic is about NXT Tech Wax washing off and I posted a real-life account of how difficult it was to remove the NXT using a strong detergent dish soap to try to remove the NXT and it just didn't work. I think water as in the form of rain would even have a more difficult time removing it unless there is something really nasty in the water.

          Its ok but not great.

So most peeps think two coats of NXT is ok??

          Thanks
